Taryn + Matt are a lovely couple who live in Kelowna, British Columbia. They were married at The Cove, in West Kelowna, British Columbia, on the beach, and their reception was there as well.
Taryn + Matt have known of each other for years and years, as they went to the same high school together. But their love story didn’t begin until they wound up going to the same University for Pharmacology.
One of the things we love about being wedding photographers (and couple photographers) is that when we go through the images you really get to see a love story unfold. We love Taryn + Matt’s portraits because we can see in Matt’s eyes as he looks at Taryn, this deep strong and very protective love. You really see her adoration for him. They just bring out the very best in one another, and photographing them is always a breeze because of their strong emotional chemistry.
Their wedding portraits were done at The Gellatly Nut Farm and we also went down the road to a local winery that has a lot of meaning for the two of them as a couple.
We loved being a part of their day, and especially loved the speeches. Some of the most heartfelt and funny we have heard. We really got a sense for who they are as a family and a community.

KELOWNA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER // Hayley + Greg // CUPCAKE + ROSÉ PICNIC ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Hayley + Greg came all the way from Calgary, Alberta for their Engagement Session! We hadn’t met them until this beautiful sunny Okanagan evening at one of the many lovely Vineyards this valley has to offer. We had so much fun getting to know these guys in person, after many emails back and forth over the last few months.
Hayley + Greg are one of the most romantic couples you will meet. They can’t get enough of each other. You will see in their dreamy romantic engagement session, that this is very much the case. They like to spend time together eating dinner and drinking a nice wine, or cuddling up with a movie with a nice rosé.
So for their Kelowna Engagement Session, what could have been more fitting than a Cupcake + Rosé Picnic in a vineyard? The cupcakes were provided by Sweet On You Designer Cups + Cakes. And the blanket they used for the picnic is a beautiful vintage Moroccan wedding blanket, that they will also be using in their wedding ceremony!
We are looking forward to shooting their Kelowna Destination Wedding at Hotel Eldorado Wedding next Summer.

VERNON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER // Brittany + Tim // Paddlewheel Hall in Burlap + Lace
Brittany + Tim, from Kelowna, got married at Paddlewheel Hall on the sandy beach in Vernon, British Columbia. Brittany walked down the aisle barefoot through the sand, and the love Tim has for her was all over his face as he watched his beautiful bride walking toward him, minutes away from becoming his wife.
These two are young, passionate, and in love, and we were thrilled to be able to shoot their wedding.
Their reception was lovely, lit by pretty twinkle lights, and they had a SMORES BAR! How cool is that?
So much love and happiness went into this day, as evident by everyones faces.

KELOWNA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY // Ash + Luc // Vintage Tea Cup Inspired Wedding
Ash + Luc… so much can be said. Its like Josh said after this wedding, “Do you ever feel that you’ve gotten to know clients well enough that you could give a toast at the wedding?” We totally felt that way about these guys. They are one of the most genuine couples we’ve met. Ash has such a kind and sweet spirit all the while being the epitome of cool; so up on all the latest music and fashion trends. Such an awesome woman truly found her match in Luc. I don’t think we’ve ever met a man with such great empathy. He reads people so well, and could probably relate and have an awesome conversation with anyone on the street.
Their wedding day was as unique and special as they are. Laura of English Rose Weddings planned the day, and Yuriko of Vintage Origami did the stylizations, decor, and provided the props for this Vintage Tea Cup Wedding. The vintage inspired florals were designed and created by none other than Christina of Classic Creations Floral Design. We couldn’t help but feel taken back in time.
Ash + Luc wanted a different sort of wedding portrait. They gave us full creative freedom to create new and fresh images. We had a large chunk of time in the afternoon so we decided to DO something fun and so we went bowling during their portrait session.

Taryn + Matt are two of those people you can just tell are meant to be together.
We had so much fun capturing these romantic images during their Rustic Styled Engagement Session in Kelowna. We were thrilled to use this beautiful private property complete with an old wooden barn and lovely worn painted buildings. The weather called for rain but we had sunshine! Even if it was just a tad chilly, but these guys were unfazed by the elements.
They are getting married later this year at The Cove in West Kelowna, and we couldn’t be more excited about getting to be a part of their day.
